| | Abstract | | Since 2002, we have developed a new hand-held land mine detection dual-sensor ALIS. ALIS is equipped with a metal detector and a GPR, and it has a sensor tracking system, which can record the GPR and Metal detector signal with its location. After several tests of ALIS in mine affected courtiers, a long-term evaluation test in real mine fields has started in Croatia. This is a half-year test to be operated by CROMAC-CTDT in real mine field sin Croatia. ALIS will be used for QC test after demining operations. One of the most important aims of this test is evaluation of ALIS operations in different soli conditions. We report here the test in Croatia in December 2007 and March 2008. ALIS is working well in these test, and detected many metal fragments. Some of the fragments show clear GPR images, due to accompanying objects such as dug out hole or a stone. |
