Inversion of S-wave velocity structures in Morioka City by using phase velocities of Rayleigh waves and microtremor H/V - checking solutions by using phase velocities of Love wave -

Abstract S-wave velocity structures at the sites in Morioka City were estimated by GA inversion based on Rayleigh wave phase velocity and H/V from microtremor array observation. If the frequency range of observed phase velocities of Rayleigh wave in microtremors is narrow, the unique Vs profile solution can not be detected. We selected the unique solution out of several better fitting solutions by using phase velocities of Love waves from three-component microtremor array observations.
