Application of integrated geophysical techniques to vulnerability assessment of levee, Part7, Consideration to standard format of investigation results for effective circulation

Abstract Standard digital file format is very important for effective circulation of geophysical investigation results. We propose the standard digital file format for the result of two-dimensional geophysical exploration methods in terms of XML. In the proposed standard format, a two-dimensional geophysical section is represented as rectangular cells. Physical property in each cell is constant. Each cell keeps its physical property and location. The file can contain not only geophysical property of a section but also survey line location, visualization parameter, and information about investigation as well. This paper will present necessity of standardization, the outline of the format and the example of standardized digital file.
