| | Abstract | | This paper shows that the hydraulic head equation in the hydraulics of groundwater is included in the extended Gassmann-Biot theory of the porous media. Firstly the hydraulic head is introduced in terms of the Gassmann-Biot notation. Then the hydraulic head equation is derived from the continuity of the total horizontal flow. |
