| Abstract | In order to estimate the amount of methane hydrates, the elastic wave attenuation has been studied in recent years. The objective of a series of our experimental studies is to establish measurement system using an ultrasonic pulse transmission technique in low temperature. The present paper mainly focuses on four purposes.1 to make an adjuster which enables to change the distance between two transducers with a accuracy of 1 mm, 2 to check the dependency of temperature variation on the location within a container fulfilled with freezing brine, 3 to compare the performance of a temperature chamber between antifreezing liquid circulation type and air-cooled type, and 4 to make automatic measurement system using LabVIEW software, which enables us to obtain waveform data automatically and periodically. |
