A study of three dimensional electrical dipole-dipole measurements using OhmMapper technique.

Abstract
We propose an efficient measurement method for 3D dipole-dipole resistivity imaging using OhmMapper. Because transmitter and receiver of OhmMapper are completely separated, crossline potential data can be efficiently acquired by pulling only the receiver while fixing the transmitter position. The field experiment shows that dipole-dipole crossline potential data up to the distance 30m of transmitter and receiver can be acquired by OhmMapper. To confirm the resolution of 3D dipole-dipole measurement data, numerical simulation is conducted and compared with the result of combination of 2D array data. The numerical simulation result shows that 3D analysis using crossline data is effective to reconstruct the resistivity model.
