Developing a System for Detecting Vehicles Buried Underground by a Disaster Part1 Determining suitable Geophysical Prospecting Techniques

Abstract
It is necessary to draw up an emergency restoration plan by promptly finding out about the possible existence of vehicles buried underground by a landslide when major transportation routes get struck by large-scale earthquakes or other disasters. Trying to develop techniques necessary to make a speedy, safe and accurate assessment of buried vehicles, we have experimented with various current geophysical prospecting techniques and developed a new EM system. This is to report our evaluation of these techniques.
