| Abstract | 3D inversion development has been conducted to solve issues in electromagnetic exploration in the radioactive waste disposal area by RWMC. We operated a field campaign of 3D CSAMT in Beishan-area in China under collaboration of BOG/CNNC, to evaluate reliability of the software to the crystalline rock in 2006. The result of the campaign indicates that the relatively low resistivity anomaly corresponds to the almost vertically distributed fault in the granite area where BOG/CNNC investigated by drilling for HLW study. It also indicates the fault diverged. We are able to confirm that the applicability of 3D electromagnetic method was able to detect such a steeply dipping geologic structure in crystalline rock. |
