Study on geophysical methods and instruments for investigation of river embankments(Part II)- A field feasibility test of the three-dimensional electrical survey -


Abstract
In late years concentrated downpour occurs frequently, and a large-scale flood occurs, and importance of the dike maintenance the river embankments. Therefore, it is important in river disaster prevention to carry out a dike and grasp of the quality of soil structure of the basic ground, the judgment of the penetration black spot, reinforcement repair. By the quality of soil investigation of the river embankments, boring is used mainly. However, because the river embankments is a linear tall and stout structure, strength and underground waterway structure are not same, and local abnormal extraction becomes the principal objective of the investigation. There is a limit for investigation only for boring with an economy and execution-related aspect, and the application of the geophysics is expected. In addition, in late years it is the present conditions three dimensions of social needs or that change into the four dimensions to arrest a change in time because three dimensions of objects of the investigation are space. This report gathered up the applicability evaluation of the three-dimensional electrical survey that I carried out to grasp the river embankments body and a property of the basic ground.
