Estimation of oceanic crustal structure using receiver function

Abstract
For precisely estimating the exent of legal continental shelf, the estimation of the thickness of oceanic crust is needed. Receiver function is a function at a place that can be used to estimate velocity interface by receiving the wave of distant earthquake including shear wave. This study tries to use two methods of calculation of receiver function, one is spectrum domain calculation obtained by ratio of seismogram components, and the other is time domain calculation by deconvolution filter operater. As a result, time domain deconvolution can invert the depth of velocity uncontinuity more accurately. The utility of receiver function analysis as one of the methods of velocity interface estimation is confirmed.
