| Abstract | Abstract: Separating P, SV, and SH waves is required to image underground sections using migration processing in seismic reflection survey, because the migration processing is normally applied in the idealized field composed of either of three different wavefields and it cannot achieve precise processing. We develop a method to separate P, SV and SH waves in a three-dimensional field using the dispersion relationship which is derived from the plane-wave approximation of reflection waves. We apply this method to three-dimensional modeling data and confirm the usefulness of our method. Our method is characterized by following three advantages. -It enables us to separate 3-component synthetic data into that of P, SV, and SH waves. - It can be applied to any type of seismic source. - The parameter we should know before processing this method is only velocities of P and S waves. As a result of processing this method, we succeeded in separating waves into each other with certain accuracy. |
